How do we know that God's peace is available to us?

Answered in 2 sources

Philippians 4:6-7 teaches that through prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, we can experience the peace of God which surpasses all understanding.

In Philippians 4:6-7, Paul writes, 'Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.' This passage assures believers that God's peace is a promise for those who bring their concerns to Him in prayer. It is not contingent on our circumstances but on God's faithfulness. As we trust in His sovereignty and His provision, we find a profound sense of peace that transcends our human understanding, affirming that God's presence calms our hearts amidst life's troubles.
