How do we know that God's people are righteous?

Answered in 1 source

God's people are righteous through the imputed righteousness of Christ, who fulfilled all obedience.

In Isaiah 60:21, it states that 'Thy people also shall be all righteous,' which assures us that every believer in Christ is declared righteous not by their own merits, but by the perfect righteousness of Christ. Ephesians 2:8-9 reinforces this by explaining that we are saved through faith, which is a gift from God—not of works that anyone may boast. Our righteousness is the result of Christ's obedience and sacrifice, as articulated in Romans 5:19, where it teaches that through one man's obedience, many are made righteous. Thus, we can confidently affirm that all who are in Christ are truly righteous.
