How do we know that God's people will be restored?

Answered in 1 source

God's restoration of His people is assured through the redemptive work of Christ and His promises found in Scripture.

The promise of restoration for God's people is rooted in the work of Jesus Christ, the 'second Adam' who redeems those who were lost in sin through the rebellion of the first Adam. In Revelation 21:3, it is revealed that God will dwell with His people, and they shall be His people, illustrating the intimate relationship restored through Christ's sacrifice. Furthermore, Ephesians 2:15 states that God has made peace and created a new man, abolishing the barriers created by sin. This emphasizes that believers, through faith in Christ, are assured of their restoration and acceptance in the new creation.
