How do we know that God's providence is active today?

Answered in 1 source

We see God's providence in the unexpected circumstances of life that lead to His purposes being fulfilled.

God's providence is the doctrine that affirms His sovereign control over all aspects of creation, ensuring that His purposes are accomplished. In Acts 28, Paul's arrival in Malta was unplanned but orchestrated by God for a greater purpose: the healing of the sick and the proclamation of the gospel. This illustrates that even in situations that appear random or unfavorable, God's sovereign will is at work. The biblical narrative reassures us that just as God used Paul's circumstances for His glory, He continues to guide and prepare paths for His people today, causing all things to work together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
