How do we know that God's purpose prevails in trials?

Answered in 1 source

God's purpose prevails through trial as evidenced by Joseph's life, where he was sold into slavery but ultimately used to save many lives.

The account of Joseph teaches us that God is sovereign over all circumstances. Even when Joseph's brothers sold him into slavery, God was orchestrating events for a greater purpose—saving the lineage of Abraham during a famine. This narrative illustrates how even the evil intentions of man (Genesis 50:20) are under God's sovereign plan. Joseph's experiences in prison and as a servant further demonstrate that God used trials to position him to fulfill His divine purpose, ultimately culminating in the saving of many lives through the right-hand position he attained in Egypt.
