How do we know that God's sovereignty determines who is saved?

Answered in 1 source

We know God's sovereignty in salvation through Scripture, which clearly shows that He chooses and saves whom He wills.

The doctrines of sovereign grace teach that God is completely sovereign over all aspects of salvation. Passages like Romans 8:29-30 affirm that those whom God foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, indicating that the decision of who is saved rests solely with God. Additionally, John 6:44 states, 'No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him,' reaffirming that it is God's divine initiative that brings individuals to faith. Thus, while humans are called to respond to the gospel, the ultimate source of that ability to respond lies in God's sovereign choice, showcasing His glory and a plan that ensures no one can boast in their own salvation.
