How do we know that God's sovereignty includes evil and delusion?

Answered in 1 source

God's sovereignty encompasses all events, including evil, which He uses to fulfill His divine purposes.

The doctrine of God's sovereignty affirms that nothing occurs outside His sovereign will. God explicitly states that He creates both light and darkness, peace and evil (Isaiah 45:7). This implies that even deception serves a purpose within His plan, such as blinding those who have rejected the truth (John 12:39-40). God allows delusion as a consequence for the rejection of His gospel and as a means to fulfill His purposes in history, demonstrating both His justice and mercy.
