How do we know that God's Word can strengthen us?

In Psalm 119:28, the psalmist declares, 'Strengthen thou me according to thy word.' This shows the profound reliance on Scripture for spiritual sustenance. We see throughout the Bible, especially in the Reformed tradition, that God’s Word is living and active (Hebrews 4:12). It instructs us, convicts us, and ultimately strengthens us to persevere in faith. The power of God’s Word is not just in its reading but in its application as truth to our lives, fostering a deeper relationship with Christ.
