How do we know that God's work in believers is genuine?

Answered in 1 source

Genuine faith is evidenced by a personal relationship with Christ and a transformation brought by God's grace.

In the Christian faith, the genuineness of God's work in believers can be observed through a transformative relationship with Jesus Christ. Just as Jacob experienced a change from being a deceiver to becoming Israel, a prince with God, believers are transformed through repentance and faith. This internal work of God in the heart leads individuals to recognize their sinfulness and their reliance on Christ for salvation. True believers will show a progression of faith, evidenced by their trust in God and the accompanying fruits of their lives that glorify Him.
