How do we know that God saves those who are in trouble?

Answered in 1 source

We know that God saves those in trouble because His Word repeatedly affirms that He hears and rescues the brokenhearted.

The assurance of God's salvation for the troubled is evident in numerous passages throughout the Bible. In Psalm 34:18, it says, 'The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.' This highlights God's closeness to those who are suffering. Additionally, the experiences of biblical figures who cried out to the Lord and were saved provide real-life testimony of His faithfulness to His promises.
