How do we know that God saves through Christ?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible teaches that salvation comes through faith in Christ alone (Isaiah 45:22).

In Isaiah 45:22, God invites all sinners to look to Him for salvation, emphasizing that He alone is the Savior: 'Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is none else.' This is foundational to the Reformed understanding of salvation, which teaches that Christ's substitutionary death on the cross secured redemption for those chosen by God. The apostle Paul further illuminates this truth in Romans 10:9-13, where he asserts that confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection is essential for salvation. Therefore, the assurance of salvation rests solely on Christ's finished work and not on human effort or merit.
