How do we know that God saves us through His sovereignty?

Answered in 1 source

We know God saves sovereignly because He has chosen His people and Christ died specifically for them.

God's sovereignty in salvation is illustrated in Psalm 135:8, where it recounts how God delivered Israel from bondage in Egypt through the blood of the Passover lamb. This historical event underlines the doctrine of substitutionary atonement, where Christ, as the ultimate lamb, died for His elect. The Bible clearly states that Christ did not come merely to try to save everyone but to save those whom the Father gave Him (John 6:37). Thus, God's electing love ensures that all whom He intends to save will indeed be saved, and His purposes in salvation cannot fail. This doctrine is comforting as it reassures believers of their security in Christ.
