How do we know that God seeks us before we seek Him?

Answered in 2 sources

The Bible indicates that God seeks the lost and reveals Himself to them, demonstrating His initiative in salvation.

The scripture firmly tells us in Romans 10:20 that God was found by those who did not seek Him and was made manifest to those who did not ask for Him. This highlights a fundamental truth of God's grace: He takes the initiative in our salvation. Rather than waiting for us to seek Him first, God actively seeks out sinners, initiating the relationship. This understanding brings comfort and assurance, as it shows that God's love and mercy are proactive rather than reactive. Every believer’s response to God is a reaction to His previous action—His grace that draws us to Himself despite our natural inclination to turn away.
