How do we know that God seeks us to save us?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture reveals that God actively seeks sinners and initiates their salvation, as shown from Genesis to the teachings of Jesus.

Throughout the Bible, we see a consistent theme that God is the initiator of salvation. In Genesis, after Adam and Eve sinned, it was God who called out to Adam, 'Where are you?' showing that God initiated the relationship and sought reconciliation. Jesus further emphasizes this in parables such as the lost sheep in Luke 15, where He states that the shepherd seeks the lost sheep to bring it back. Additionally, Paul affirms in Romans 3:11 that 'no one seeks for God,' indicating our brokenness and helplessness until God intervenes. God's action to seek out and call His people is a central aspect of His grace and mercy.
