How do we know that God takes pleasure in our work?

Answered in 1 source

God takes pleasure in our work when we dedicate it to His glory and follow His commands.

God's pleasure in our work is assured when it aligns with His will and honors Him. In Haggai 1:8, He promises that if the Israelites would devote themselves to building His house, He would take pleasure in it. This principle extends to all believers today; when our actions are motivated by faith, obedience, and the desire to glorify God, He is pleased with our efforts. This is fundamentally rooted in the gospel, as our works, albeit imperfect, are accepted through Christ's righteousness. It reminds us that our service should stem from gratefulness for our salvation, resulting in acts that uplift and glorify God in our lives.
