How do we know that God will cleanse us from sin?

Answered in 2 sources

We can trust in God's promise of cleansing because it is established in His covenant, as stated in Ezekiel 36:25.

We have the assurance that God will cleanse us from our sins as it is explicitly stated in Ezekiel 36:25, where He promises to sprinkle clean water on His people. This assurance is rooted in God's covenant, which is 'ordered in all things and sure.' Because God Himself declares this promise, we can confidently rely on His faithfulness to fulfill it. Our ability to be cleansed is predicated on the sacrificial work of Christ, whose blood purifies us and makes us acceptable before God.

In the context of sovereign grace, this cleansing is not a product of our efforts but a gracious act of God. It highlights the sovereignty of His will to redeem, transform, and make us whole. Therefore, the certainty of our cleansing is derived from God's unchanging character and His committed purpose to sanctify His people, bringing us into a fuller communion with Him.
