How do we know that God will judge everyone for their works?

Answered in 1 source

Scripture assures us that all men will be judged by Christ according to their works (John 5:22).

The certainty of God's judgment upon every individual is rooted in the authority of Christ as the appointed Judge. John 5:22 clearly establishes this, stating, 'For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son.' This reinforces that all humanity, both the living and the dead, will stand before Christ to receive either His judgment or His reward. The foundation of this judgment is not only based on works but also upon one's faith in the finished work of Christ. Believers should take comfort in knowing that their judgment is secure in Him, while the unrepentant face the righteous wrath of God. The assurance of Christ's return and judgment motivates Christians to live faithfully.
