How do we know that God will not abandon His people?

Answered in 2 sources

God's promise of eternal faithfulness and the blood of Christ assure us that He will never abandon His people.

The assurance that God will not abandon His people is rooted in His unchanging character and His covenant of grace. As expressed in Psalm 74, God has purchased His people with the precious blood of His Son, a price that guarantees His commitment to their eternal well-being. Acts 20:28 reinforces this truth, reminding us that the Church is bought with the blood of Christ, illustrating the depth of His devotion. Furthermore, passages like Philippians 1:6 promise that He who began a good work in His people will carry it on to completion. Thus, believers can have complete confidence in His unwavering faithfulness, knowing that His covenantal love binds Him eternally to them.
