How do we know that God will uphold us when we fall?

Answered in 1 source

God's promise in Scripture assures believers that He will uphold and restore them when they fall.

Scripture consistently demonstrates God's faithfulness to uphold His people. For instance, Psalm 37:23-24 states, 'Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholdeth him with His hand.' This promise provides comfort amid struggles, assuring believers that their standing with God is secure despite their failures. It is through God’s unchanging nature and His covenant faithfulness that we find reassurance that He will not abandon us but will enable us to rise again. Through Christ, we have the assurance of empowerment and restoration.
