How do we know that God works all things together for good?

Romans 8:28 states, 'And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.' This powerful verse reassures believers that every event in their lives, whether joyous or painful, is under God's sovereign control and is ultimately for their good. The assurance comes from understanding that God's purposes are perfect and often transcend our immediate understanding.
