How do we know that Gospel preaching is effective?

Answered in 1 source

The effectiveness of Gospel preaching is evidenced by the transformation it brings to those who believe.

Paul states in 1 Corinthians 1:21 that God chose the foolishness of preaching to save those who believe. This means that the message of the Gospel, although considered foolish by the world, is the very means by which God brings about salvation. The hearing of the Gospel leads to faith, and faith results in justification and transformation in the lives of believers. The perfect work of Christ redeems His elect, assuring that through the faithful preaching of the Gospel, lives are transformed, hope is restored, and the light of Christ shines in the believer's life.
