How do we know that grace and salvation come from God?

Answered in 1 source

All salvation originates from God; only He can give life to the spiritually dead.

Salvation is entirely of God. As John 6:44 states, 'No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him.' This shows that human beings by nature are spiritually dead and cannot initiate their relationship with God. Only God can grant the necessary life that allows an individual to come to Christ. This concept emphasizes the sovereignty of God in salvation and affirms that it is not based on human effort or decision but purely on God's grace and initiative.
