How do we know that grace doesn't encourage sin?

Answered in 1 source

Grace empowers believers to live righteously, not to sin, as God's grace transforms the heart and creates a desire to honor Him.

Despite claims that grace gives freedom to sin, true grace, as taught in Romans, instills a deep aversion to sin in the hearts of believers. The grace that God extends does not lead to lawlessness but instead motivates a heartfelt obedience to His commands. In Romans 2, Paul illustrates that true circumcision is of the heart, emphasizing that true worship and obedience stem from a transformed spirit rather than mere outward compliance with the law. When we genuinely experience God's grace, we find ourselves not wanting to sin, but rather longing to please Him in all we do.
