How do we know that grace is crucial for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Grace is essential for salvation as it is through God's unmerited favor that we are redeemed and brought into union with Christ.

Grace is the foundation of salvation, emphasizing that it is unearned and undeserved. The Apostle Paul writes that believers are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 2:8-9). This grace is not based on our works or merits but solely on God’s mercy and love. Furthermore, it is through grace that we are brought into a true relationship with Christ, becoming His body and members of His flesh and bones. In acknowledging our need for grace, we recognize that our sinfulness and inability to save ourselves highlight the magnificence of God's grace in redemption.
