How do we know that grace is greater than the law?

Answered in 3 sources

We know grace is greater because it offers forgiveness and reconciliation through faith in Christ despite our inability to fulfill the law.

The assurance that grace surpasses law is grounded in the teachings of scripture. Romans 8:1 confirms that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. The law reveals our condition as guilty sinners and shows us our need for a Savior. In contrast, grace through Christ not only forgives but also empowers us to live in obedience to God's will. The interaction between Jesus and the woman caught in adultery exemplifies this; while the law demands justice, Christ's response offers mercy. This doesn’t nullify the law but fulfills it by providing a means for righteousness through faith in Him.
