How do we know that grace is truly sufficient for salvation?

Answered in 1 source

Grace is sufficient because it is given freely by God through faith in Jesus Christ, without any requirements on human effort.

God's grace is the unmerited favor that He bestows upon sinners. It is through grace that we are saved, as stated in Ephesians 2:8-9, which emphasizes that salvation is not based on our works but is a gift from God. This grace is not only sufficient; it is the means through which all of salvation is achieved. The story of the leper in Luke 17 illustrates that access to God's mercy is made possible through faith alone. Recognizing our total inability to earn salvation is essential in understanding grace. When we approach God in our sinfulness and trust solely in Christ's work, we find grace to be more than enough to cleanse us and secure our place in His family.
