How do we know that grace surpasses the law?

Answered in 1 source

Grace surpasses the law because it provides life and righteousness through faith in Christ, while the law condemns and brings death.

The Apostle Paul clearly articulates in 2 Corinthians 3 that the law, given through Moses, was glorious but ultimately a ministration of condemnation. It serves to highlight sin and human inability to achieve righteousness. In contrast, the New Covenant of grace, which comes through Jesus Christ, exceeds this glory. Grace offers a means by which believers are made righteous not through their own works, but through faith in Christ who fulfilled the law on our behalf, thus providing life and liberty through the Spirit. This demonstrates the transformative power and superiority of grace over the law.
