How do we know that having God at the center of family life is important?

Answered in 1 source

Having God at the center of family life is crucial as He is the true protector against the attacks of the enemy (Psalm 127:1).

According to Psalm 127, unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. This metaphor illustrates that the family, much like a city, must be safeguarded by God. Families face numerous external threats, including worldly influences and spiritual warfare from the enemy. Recognizing that spiritual protection comes only from God underscores the necessity of making Him central in all aspects of family life. This principle encourages families to depend upon God's strength and wisdom to navigate the challenges and spiritual attacks they face daily.
