How do we know that hope in God is true?

Answered in 1 source

Our hope in God is true because it is based on His promises fulfilled through Jesus Christ.

The certainty of our hope is grounded in the nature of God and the promises He has made. Paul articulates in Romans 15:4 that all things written in the Scriptures are for our learning, so that we might have hope. The faithful fulfillment of God's promises, such as those made to Abraham and David, reinforces our trust in Him. Additionally, Hebrews 1:3 speaks to Christ's role in purging our sins and fulfilling God's covenant, serving as the ultimate assurance of our hope in both this life and the next.
