How do we know that hope never disappoints?

Answered in 1 source

The hope of a believer is built on the truth of God’s love, which guarantees that our expectations will not be disappointed (Romans 5:5).

Romans 5:5 asserts that hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit given to us. This assurance stems from the believer's relationship with God, who is faithful to His promises. Our hope is anchored in the assurance of our future redemption and the consummation of our relationship with Christ. While we may face tribulations in this life, we can rest in the certainty that our hope is secure, as it is based on God's unwavering love and His plan for our salvation. Therefore, believers can face suffering without fear of disappointment, as our hope is ultimately fulfilled in our eternal life with Christ.
