How do we know that humans are incapable of saving themselves?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible asserts that humans are incapable of saving themselves due to their bondage to sin and spiritual blindness.

The doctrine of human incapacity argues that fallen humanity is unable to seek God or contribute to their salvation. Romans 3:10-12 clearly states, 'There is none righteous, no, not one; there is none who understands; there is none who seeks after God.' This teaches us that because of the original sin of Adam, all humanity lost the ability to comprehend spiritual truths and seeks only after sin. Without God intervening, no one could come to Him, as stated in John 6:44: 'No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him.' Therefore, our need for divine grace is imperative for salvation.
