How do we know that it's wrong to judge others?

Answered in 1 source

It's wrong to judge others as it's seen as hypocrisy and goes against the teachings of Jesus.

The hypocrisy of judging others is evident in Matthew 7:1-2, where Jesus teaches, 'For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged.' This highlights that those who judge often hold themselves to lesser standards, making them hypocrites. Moreover, we don't possess the complete understanding required to pass judgment; we lack insight into others' struggles and contexts. By judging, we overstep our bounds as we are challenged to consider ourselves and our weaknesses first, encouraging humility and grace instead of judgment.
