How do we know that Jesus' blood is sufficient for atonement?

Answered in 2 sources

Jesus' blood is sufficient because it satisfies God's justice and fulfills the requirements for reconciliation, as taught in Scripture.

The sufficiency of Jesus' blood for atonement is foundational to the Christian faith. The Old Testament sacrificial system pointed to Christ, but the blood of animals could not take away sin (Hebrews 10:4). Jesus' shed blood uniquely fulfills the requirements of a holy, just God by serving as our perfect substitute, allowing God to be both just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus (Romans 3:25). Thus, the blood of Christ not only provides forgiveness but also enables believers to come boldly before God, assured of their acceptance because of what Christ has done.
