How do we know that Jesus calls us to Himself?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus calls us through the gospel, inviting us to come to Him by faith.

The call of Christ to come to Him is an ongoing invitation both for the unsaved and for believers. In Matthew 11:28, Jesus invites those who are weary and burdened to come to Him for rest. This is the essence of the gospel; it beckons sinners to leave behind their sin and come into fellowship with Christ. The Spirit of God works in hearts, drawing individuals through divine means to respond to Christ's call. The assurance of His willingness to save is reinforced by His words in John 6:37, where He pledges that all who come to Him will not be cast out.
