How do we know that Jesus came to do the will of God?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus explicitly stated that He came to do the will of Him who sent Him, fulfilling God's redemptive plan.

In John 6:38, Jesus declares, 'For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.' This statement fundamentally asserts His divine mission to fulfill God's eternal purpose. Hebrews 10:9 reinforces this by indicating that Christ was sent to do God's will, emphasizing His role as the obedient servant in God's plan of salvation. Thus, Jesus' entire earthly ministry was aligned with the directive to carry out the Father's will, underscoring His commitment and divine authority.
