How do we know that Jesus cares for us as the Good Shepherd?

Answered in 1 source

We know Jesus cares for us because He knows each of His sheep by name and provides for their needs (John 10:3).

Jesus assures us of His personal care in John 10:3, stating, 'To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear His voice: and He calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out.' This intimate knowledge demonstrates that Jesus not only acknowledges us but also understands our individual struggles and needs. The Good Shepherd knows when we are lost, hurt, or in need of comfort, and it is through His loving care that we find peace. Furthermore, He lays down His life for His sheep, reinforcing His commitment to their well-being and salvation.
