How do we know that Jesus Christ died for the elect?

Answered in 1 source

The assurance that Christ died for the elect comes from passages affirming that all whom the Father gives to Jesus will come to Him.

In John 6:37, Jesus states, 'All that the Father gives me shall come to me.' This clearly illustrates that Christ's atonement is specifically for those who are chosen by God. It is through His sacrificial death that He redeems His people from their sins. This is further emphasized in Romans 8:32, which assures believers that since God did not spare His own Son, He will also graciously give them all things. The knowledge that Christ's sacrifice was intentional and effectual for the elect gives believers confidence in their salvation and connection to God’s covenant promises.
