How do we know that Jesus Christ does not change?

The declaration in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever serves as a foundation for the believer's faith. It assures us that the Jesus we read about in the Bible—who showed compassion, performed miracles, and offered salvation—is unchanged.
