How do we know that Jesus Christ is greater than the angels?

In Hebrews 1, it is made clear that Jesus Christ holds a superior status over the angels. The text indicates that God never said to any angel, 'You are my Son; today I have become your Father.' Instead, Christ is acknowledged as the only begotten Son of God, which establishes His supremacy.
