How do we know that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of God's rest?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of God's rest because He completed salvation, inviting us to rest in Him (Hebrews 4:10).

According to Hebrews 4:10, Jesus Christ represents the ultimate fulfillment of God's rest. He declared, 'It is finished' when He accomplished the work of redemption on the cross. Through His finished work, we are invited to cease from our own works and find Our rest in Him. Unlike the Old Testament practices, which were merely shadows, Christ is the substance of our Sabbath rest, providing a means for us to have continual fellowship with God. This indicates that true rest, which comes from believing in Christ and His work alone, cannot be attained through our efforts but solely through faith in Him.
