How do we know that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of Scripture?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus fulfills scripture as the culmination of the law, prophecies, and types found throughout the Old Testament.

The New Testament presents Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of all that the Scriptures foretold. Throughout the Old Testament, there are prophecies about His birth, life, and death that point directly to Him (e.g., Isaiah 7:14, Micah 5:2). Christ's life embodies these prophecies, and He stated that Moses and the prophets spoke of Him (Luke 24:27). Moreover, various figures in the Old Testament serve as types that foreshadow Christ, such as Melchizedek and the sacrificial lambs, reinforcing that the entire biblical narrative converges on Christ as the promised Savior.
