How do we know that Jesus Christ is the only way to God?

The Gospel message is clear in 1 Timothy 2:5, which declares, 'For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.' This asserts the exclusivity of Christ as the sole connector between a holy God and sinful humanity. The necessity of having a mediator stems from our sinful state, which separates us from God. Because sin demands punishment, and we are unable to atone for ourselves, a mediator is vital for reconciliation.

Jesus fulfills this role perfectly. He embodies both divine and human natures, allowing Him to bridge the gap between mankind and God. By His sacrifice, He bore our sins and facilitated a way for us to be justified before the Father. Thus, the biblical doctrine of salvation by grace through faith in Christ alone is not a matter of preference, but a central tenet of the Christian faith, established in Scripture and affirmed through the teachings of the historic Reformed tradition.
