How do we know that Jesus Christ is the Savior?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is affirmed as the Savior through His sacrificial death and resurrection, as well as through the Scriptures that prophesy His coming (Isaiah 53).

Jesus Christ is known as the Savior primarily because of His role in fulfilling Old Testament prophecies and through His sacrificial work on the cross. Isaiah 53 prophesies about the suffering servant who bears the sins of many, and the New Testament confirms that Jesus embodies this prophecy. His death was a propitiation for sin (1 John 2:2), and His resurrection demonstrates His victory over sin and death, making it possible for those who believe in Him to have eternal life (John 3:16). This is foundational to the Christian faith and highlights Christ's unique position in salvation history.
