How do we know that Jesus Christ is the true king?

The distinction between earthly rulers like Ahasuerus and Jesus Christ is profound. Ahasuerus is described as a king who reigned over a vast territory but is now merely a figure in history. In contrast, Jesus Christ is declared to reign forever, illustrated in Scripture where the angel Gabriel tells Mary that Christ's kingdom will have no end (Luke 1:31-33). God's Word emphasizes that while human kings may hold power for a season, Jesus reigns providentially and perfectly, ensuring that all things are ordered according to His will. Unlike Ahasuerus, whose authority ceased with his death, Christ's kingdom continues indefinitely, providing believers with hope and assurance that their King is alive and actively working for their good.
