How do we know that Jesus Christ saves us by Himself?
Answered in 1 source
We know that Jesus saves us by Himself because scripture confirms that He purged our sins alone and His righteousness is sufficient for our salvation.
The assurance of Christ's solitary work in our salvation is grounded in biblical doctrine. Hebrews 1:3 states that 'When he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.' This reflects that there was no assistance needed for His redemptive work; He accomplished it completely. Our sinful nature means that we cannot add to or aid in our salvation. Believing in Christ’s completed work is vital, as He alone provides the righteousness needed to be justified before God. Any understanding that suggests we contribute to our salvation directly contradicts the essence of the Gospel.
