How do we know that Jesus gives us victory over death?

The assurance of victory over death through Jesus is firmly rooted in the resurrection of Christ. As Paul states in Romans 5:18-19, through one man's disobedience many were made sinners; so through the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Jesus, by His death and resurrection, has fulfilled the law and provided a way for believers to defeat death. In Hebrews 2:15, it reveals that Jesus didn't merely die; He took on our humanity to destroy the devil's power over death, and thus, by faith in Him, we are granted life eternal. This promises a tangible hope that believers shall also be resurrected, and death will ultimately be vanquished.
