How do we know that Jesus has the power to heal?

Answered in 5 sources

Jesus’ power to heal is demonstrated throughout the Gospels, particularly in His interactions with those in desperate need, such as the healing of Jairus’ daughter and the woman with the issue of blood.

In the Gospels, particularly in Luke 8, we see Jesus’ authority over life and death, which affirms His power to heal. When Jairus approached Jesus for help, he exemplified faith in Christ's ability to heal his sick daughter, even when she was ultimately pronounced dead by others. Jesus reassured Jairus to not fear but to believe, showing His power over both sickness and death. Furthermore, the woman with the issue of blood illustrated that faith in His ability to heal led her to touch His garment, resulting in immediate healing. These accounts serve to strengthen believers’ assurance that Jesus possesses the power to heal both physically and spiritually.
