How do we know that Jesus is a better priest than the Levitical priests?

The distinction of Jesus as our High Priest lies in His perfect nature and the unique sacrifice He made. Unlike the Levitical priests who themselves were sinners and had to offer sacrifices for their own sins, Jesus is described as holy, harmless, and undefiled. His sacrifice was once and for all, as He offered Himself without spot to God, thus fulfilling the requirements of the law and providing atonement for sin. His eternal life ensures that He can save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, which the Levitical priests could not accomplish.
