How do we know that Jesus is a competent counselor?

Answered in 1 source

Jesus is a competent counselor because He embodies all wisdom and has the authority to take away our sin and provide perfect guidance.

The competency of Jesus as our Wonderful Counselor is rooted in His divine nature and authority. Colossians 2:3 tells us that all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him, confirming that He has the insight we lack. Unlike human counselors, who may have their own limitations, Jesus perfectly understands the depth of our struggles and the truth we need. He does not simply excuse our faults but takes on the burden of our sins, fulfilling the law through His sacrifice. Thus, His counsel provides not only forgiveness but also a path to true freedom. As we navigate life, His sovereign control over all circumstances assures us that we can fully trust His guidance, knowing that He is always working for our good.
