How do we know that Jesus is King according to the Bible?

Answered in 1 source

The Bible confirms Jesus's kingship through prophetic declarations and His trial, where He was affirmed as the King of the Jews.

The New Testament establishes Jesus as King through various prophetic announcements and declarations during His life and ministry. Notably, during His trial, the inscription above His head proclaimed Him as the King of the Jews, fulfilling the message foretold by angel Gabriel to Mary (Luke 1:32-33). Additionally, the acclaim of the multitudes during His triumphal entry into Jerusalem proclaiming Him as King (John 12:13) reinforces this declaration. Jesus's kingdom is characterized as unlike earthly kingdoms, ruling over true subjects and establishing a divine reign that will ultimately overtake all earthly powers. This teaches believers to recognize Christ's reign in their hearts and in the world, where He will ultimately establish His everlasting kingdom.
